Automatic translation: At the beginning of 1977, a preliminary draft and the technical conception of a site-neutral spent fuel storage facility from the company NUKEM has been created. To this end, preliminary talks took place in the reporting period between NÜKEM/KFA/STEAG/HRG and the German Society for Reprocessing of Nuclear Fuels mbH (DWK) on the inclusion of the HTR interim storage facility to the site for the interim storage facility for light water reactor fuel elements in Ahaus. Abstract (German)

Anfang 1977 waren ein Vorentwurf und die technische Konzeption eines standortneutralen Lagers für abgebrannte Brennelemente von der Firma NUKEM erstellt worden. Hierzu fanden im Berichtszeitraum Vorgespräche zwischen der NÜKEM/KFA/STEAG/HRG und der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Wiederaufarbeitung von Kernbrennstoffen mbH (DWK) über die Einbeziehung des HTR-Zwischenlagers in den Standort für das Zwischenlager für Leichtwasserreaktor-Brennelemente in Ahaus statt. Es ist jedoch hier nicht zu konkreten StandortPlanungen gekommen. Als weitere Standortalternativen sind Jülich und Hamm-Uentrop im Gespräch.
