State of development of the high temperature reactor

Description
Positive experience with high temperature reactors is readily available from various countries. As far as the 300 MW Thorium High Temperature Reactor (THTR 300) project in the Federal Republic of Germany is concerned, the current programme is based on power station take-over in May 1983. In the early part of this year licences were granted for the boilers and blowers and additional licences are outstanding for important plant components. It is important for rapid completion that the prototype nature of the plant is taken into consideration in the continuing evolution of the licensing procedure. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
Aus verschiedenen Laendern liegen bereits positive Erfahrungen mit Hochtemperaturreaktoren vor. Fuer das THTR-300-Kernkraftwerksprojekt in der Bundesrepublik liegt der Terminplanung zur Zeit die Uebernahme des Kraftwerkes im Mai 1983 zugrunde. Im Fruehjahr dieses Jahres wurden die Dampferzeuger und Geblaese genehmigt, weitere Genehmigungen fuer wichtige Anlagenteile stehen noch aus. Wichtig fuer eine schnelle Fertigstellung ist, dass bei der weiteren Abwicklung des Genehmigungsverfahrens dem Prototypcharakter der Anlage Rechnung getragen wird. (orig.)Additional details
