Critical current anisotropy and the peak effect in plastically deformed superconducting single crystal niobium

  • 1. Institute of Solid-State Physics, Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Chernogolovka, Moscow Province

Description

The critical currents and the dislocation structure of a deformed niobium single crystal are investigated. The critical current as a function of the angle of inclination of the magnetic field to the broad face of a plane sample is found to be anisotropic. The critical currents exhibit a complex correlation with the anisotropic dislocation distribution
