Photometry of light-bridges in sunspots

Description

Light-bridges are often observed in the decay phase of sunspots. Some of them show a granular structure similar to that of the photosphere. Previous works have studied the morphological aspects, having measured a magnetic field of a few hundred gauss. The main aim of this work was to compare the light-bridges granulation with that of the quiet photosphere in order to confirm or not its possible deformation near magnetic structures
