Synthesis of acrylonitrile composite material for the adsorption of uranium

Description

N-Fe-P nano balls ((Fe)N-P/Cns) was synthesized by using polyacrylonitrile, ferric chloride, and diammonium hydrogen phosphate as source materials, and its specific surface area was 557.22 m2/g. The influence of pH, absorption time, uranium initial concentration and temperature on uranium sorption on (Fe)N-P/Cns were investigated by static absorption method to find out the optimal absorption conditions. The results showed that uranium sorption on (Fe)N-P/Cns was pH-dependent, and that the adsorption of U is a spontaneous and decalescence adsorption process. This adsorption process followed the pseudo second-order reaction kinetics and Langmuir isotherm, with the maximum adsorption capacity of 325.1 mg/g. The research results could be applied for the absorption and separation of uranium from aqueous solution. (authors)
