Crystal structure of europium(II) bis(hydroxyacetate)
Description
The crystals of the title compound are composed of polymeric network built up from europium(II) cations and hydroxyacetate anions. The coordination environment of the metal is composed of six carboxylate oxygen atoms, and two hydroxyl oxygen atoms. The distances Eu-O are generally longer than those observed in Eu(III) carboxylates. (orig.)
