Anisotropy of light electroabsorption in InP monocrystals

Description
To measure anisotropy of linearly polarized light absorption in InP monocrystal differential technique is used. Variation of InP absorption factor for two orientations of anti Epsilon light wave electric vector relative to external electric field is measured. On the basis of the measurements it is shown that Bloch X+-iY and Z type amplitudes may be referred to light holes and X+-iY ones to heavy holes. Dependencies of electroabsorption polarization degree on the angle between the electric field and crystallographic axes are obtained that allwos to determine the ratio between valence band is energetic surface corrugation coefficients
