Pulse stretching at the linac-based slow-positron beam of the Ghent University

Description
In order to stretch the slow-positron pulses that are produced when using a linac as positron source, a Penning trap was installed at the slow-positron beam of the Ghent University. The slow positrons made during the pulse of the accelerator are stored and then slowly released to fill up the gap between pulses. Different confinement times and slow-positron energies were used in the experiments. (orig.)
