Simple particle injection system for laboratory burners

Description
The design of an easily constructed particle injection system for use with laboratory burners is presented. The particles are entrained in the flow using directed gas jets which are positioned in a standard glass flask. The characteristics of the system are evaluated using coal flyash particles in a 10-cm-long methane--air flame. Particle densities exceeding 104 cm-3 are attainable
