The significance of radiographic magnification for modern diagnostic imaging methods

Direct radiographic magnification is a well-established technique. Improved equipment recently has even enhanced its versatility and applicability to many general clinical problems. In our department, the radiographic magnification is not a 'special take', but is part of a usual radiographic examination and can be done with any X-ray equipment. The article explains the current equipment of the department and the techniques applied, also illustrating the broad applicability spectrum, including radiography of the pelvic region and of the lumbar spine.
