Radiation dose reduction by different type of concrete shields
Description
This report is an operational manual of shielding software 'C-Shielder', developed at Applied Health Physics Group (AHPG), Health Physics Division (HPD). The softwares estimates shielding thickness for photons having their energy in the range 0.5 to 10 MeV. The photons are not material specific and the material is assumed as a point source. The shielding material is different type of concrete (Ordinary, Barytes, Magnetite, Ferrophosphorus). The software is helpful in designing shields and containers for safe handling and storage of gamma emitting radionuclide(s). (author)
