Quiescent plasma machine with magnetic multipole confinement for generating and detecting Langmuir waves

Description
Preliminary results of plasma production and Langmuir waves generation and detection in the quiescent plasma machine (PQUI-II) of INPE are presented. The excited Langmuir wavelengths were evaluated. An increase of ionization efficiency with introduction of superficial magnetic field was verified. (M.C.K.)
