Description

An alternate injector system comprising of ECR-RFQ-superconducting low beta cavities is proposed for the superconducting LINAC at Mumbai. This injection system will provide all heavy ions in the range 1/7 ≤q/m ≤1/2 within the required velocity acceptance of S-LINAC, and with higher intensities. The physics design of the heavy ion RFQ without prebuncher for the alternate injector is presented
