Radiation tube, with a rotating anode is located in a vacuum tight housing by means of at least one bearing, characterised in that the bearing is a sliding bearing wherein at least the mutually working load contact surfaces consist mainly of a metal or metallic alloy and are not chemically attacked, as a bearing lubricant material is used containing a Ga-alloy, with a low melting point and a low vapour pressure, which is in direct contact with the metal working surfaces.
