'France Relance' and nuclear industry

Description

On 3 september 2020, the French government announced an ambitious plan called 'France Relance' to boost economy. This plan is funded with 100 billions euros, 30 billions of which being dedicated to the energy transition. The nuclear dimension of the plan: 470 millions euros is built around 6 main lines of action: supporting small and medium enterprises in the nuclear sector; modernisation of industrial sites, keeping up skills, supporting research programs especially on multi-recycling and small modular reactors, rehabilitation of experimental facilities and the construction of a techno-centre dedicated to the recycling of low level radioactive metals from the dismantling of nuclear power plants. A call for projects has been launched inside 'France Relance' and 160 projects have been proposed so far. (A.C.)
