Auger electron spectra of Ba-Mosub((110)) and Ba-Nbsub((110)) film systems
Description
The Auger-electron s.oectra of Ba-Mosub((110)) and Ba-Nbsub((110)) systems are studied. The Auger-electron spectra of molybdenum and niobium were analyzed during heat treatment. In the spectra of an nonpurified niobium sample in addition to niobium peaks the Auger-peak was noticed that was caused by sulfur atoms on the surface of the sample. After heat treatment (the temperature of the sample did not rise above 2000 K) the surface was easily purified from sulfur atoms. It is established on the basis of variation of the spectra of electrons from Ba on the face (110) of Mo and Nb that at the sample temperature 300 K barium forms a practically homogeneous film which could be regarded as uniform
