Experimental study of fusion-evaporation reactions for intermediate mass systems (A=70-140)
Description
The mechanism of complete fusion induced by heavy ions has been studied by measuring angular distributions of evaporation residues. An oxygen beam was used to bombard several targets Fe from 54 to 58, Mo from 92 to 100, Sn from 116 to 124 in the incident energies range: 84 - 132 MeV. Shapes of angular distributions are reproduced using the Hauser-Feshbach formalism. In the case of neutron rich targets (100Mo - 124Sn) information on the nuclear structure are deduced. Experimental total fusion cross sections obtained from the angular distributions are compared to predictions from several static and dynamic fusion models, with particular reference to the isotopic dependence of the fusion cross section and its behaviour as a function of incident energy

Le mecanisme de fusion complete, induite par des ions lourds lourds a ete etudie en mesurant des distributions angulaires de residus d'evaporation. Un faisceau d'oxygene a ete utilise pour bombarder differentes cibles: de 54Fe a 58Fe, de 92Mo a 100Mo, de 116Sn a 124Sn dans le domaine d'energies incidentes: 84 - 132 MeV. Les formes des distributions angulaires sont reproduites en utilisant le formalisme de Hauser-Feshbach. Dans le cas des cibles riches en neutrons (124Sn, 100Mo) des informations sur la structure nucleaire sont obtenues. Les sections efficaces totales de fusion deduites des distributions angulaires sont comparees aux predictions de plusieurs modeles de fusion statique et dynamique, en particulier du point de vue de la dependance isotopique de la section efficace et de son comportement en fonction de l'energie incidenteFiles
