Description
Data are presented on the decay and absorption of the Δ resonance excited in 1H, 2H, 4He, 12C and 208Pb by the (3He, t) reaction at 2 GeV incident energy. The quasi-free Δ decay and the absorption process on a (p,n) pair are clearly observed. Evidence is also found for coherent pion production. (authors). 16 refs., 6 figs., 1 tab
