Description
Different targets of powdered materials were produced by the centrifugation technique, with thicknesses in the range 1.0-5.0 mg/cm2, deposited on different backing materials. This method is suitable for the production of thick targets (0.5 - 50mg/cm2) and it has a much higher efficiency than the traditional methods used in the target preparation. We have produced target of TiO2 on mylar, B on mylar, CoO on tantalum and CdS on nickel. The uniformities of the targets were found to be of the order of 7% through their whole surfaces. (Author)
Abstract (Portuguese)
(Autor)Additional details
