Effect of solid-solution additives on the sintering of cerium oxide
Description
The effect of MgO, CaO and Y2O3 additives on the densification and grain growth of CeO2 was investigated in isothermal and constant-heating-rate sintering. The densification rate is almost independent of MgO content but increases with Y2O3 content. The data are compared those for ZrO2 doped with similar additives. The influence of the additives is discussed
