Pitch modification of Mesophase

Naphthalene and anthracene isotropic pitches were blended into mesophase pitch. The isotropic additive content varied from 10 to 30 in weight percentage. Solubilization of mesophase pitch into the isotropic one was observed under the hot stage optical microscope. Such solubilization is two times larger than that at room temperature.
