Description

We report on an extension of Chiral Perturbation Theory including a scalar, isosiglet field [1](henceforth refered as χPTS). We work out the chiral Lagrangian up to next-to-leading order (NLO) including the new field and present the expressions for the pion mass and the pion decay constant computed in this new theory, which feature distincly new analytical structure on the quark mass. We compare the new expressions and the standard Chiral Perturbation Theory ones with lattice data, and provide the values for the low energy constants obtained.
