Exclusive dependence of GDR strength function on temperature and angular momentum in A∼84

  • 1. Nuclear Physics Division, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai (India)
  • 2. Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai (India)

Description

The extraction of the exclusive dependence of giant dipole resonance (GDR) strength function on temperature (T) and angular momentum (Jℎ) is a challenging experimental problem. The experiment was performed by bombarding a 58Ni target with 100 and 125 MeV 28Si beams . The results of measurements in a lighter mass region of A∼84 for an average J up to ∼31 (Planckωrot up to ∼1.3 MeV) are reported
