Influence of temperature on equilibria of complexing reactions of metal ions with cellulose derivatives containing hydroxamic groups
Description
A study was made of the temperature dependence of the acid dissociation constants of a graft copolymer (also containing elementary amidoxime links) of cellulose and polyacrylhydroxamic acid, and the complexing constants of the same substance with Cu2+, Fe3+, Co2+, Ni2+, Zn2+, Cd2+ and Ca2+ ions. The values ΔG, ΔH and ΔS were calculated for the above processes. It was shown that the entropy factor has the greatest effect on the overall change in free energy with complexing. (author)
