Admissible parameters of pastures pollution with 137Cs and 90Sr and coefficients of radionuclids transition from legumes grasses into cow milk
- 1. National Academy of Sciences (Belarus)
Description
Transition coefficient of 90Sr from ratio based on green mass of lucerne and foxtail clover into milk of cattle is equal to 0,14 and 0,18% correspondingly. Transition coefficient of 137Cs from ratio based on green mass of lucerne and foxtail clover into milk of cattle is equal to o,63 and 0,78% correspondingly. To get a pure milk, the usage of lucerne green mass with the purpose of monoforage in summer ratio of lactating cows is possible if it is cultivated on territories with radiation pollution density 90Sr up to 5,55 kBk/square m (0,15 K/square km) and 137Cs - 925 kBk/square m (25 K/square km). What concerns foxtail clover, the limit of radiation pollution density of forage grounds is 3,7 kBk/square m (0,1 K/square km) for 90Sr and 925 kBk/square m (25 K/square km) for 137Cs
