Semiclassical analysis of α-transfer in 212Po
Description
The heavy-ion reaction 208Pb(16O, 212Po) is treated as a direct one in which an α-particle initially bound to a 12C core is transferred to the ground and first excited state in 212Po. A semiclassical theory based on DWBA is used to calculate angular distributions. The results are compared with experiment. 2 figures
