Investigation into interrelation of phase composition and structure of chemically precipitated CdS films with their electrophysical properties
- 1. Ural'skij Politekhnicheskij Inst., Sverdlovsk (USSR)
Description
Phase composition and structure of chemically precipitated CdS are studied. Obtained are textured films of hexagonal cadmium sulfide (α-CdS), oriented with the (002) plane parallel to the glass sublayer. It is shown that the grain size and amount of CdCN2 admixture in the layer are determined by the obtaining conditions. Chemically precipitated textured layers of α-CdS possess considerable residual conductivity - photomemory. It increases with the increase of orientation rate and sizes of crystallites which constitute the layer. It is shown that photomemory property and high values of photocurrents are conditioned by structural peculiarities of chemically precipitated layers and the presence of admixture compound CdCN2. The texture destruction as a result of heat treatment promotes to disappearance of photomemory and fast photocurrent relaxation
