Evaluation of precoat filter septa performance using a powdered resin test skid

Description
Utility personnel are investigating ways to improve plant precoat filter systems to minimize operating and capital costs. An important requirement for testing of precoat filter systems is the capability to reproduce plant operations. Three different plants utilized the powdered resin test skid to test various element types, precoat mixtures, and application methods used by, or of interest to, each specific plant. In each case, an improved understanding of current deficiencies was obtained and methods for correcting them discovered
