Localization of holes in the superconductor Tl2Ba2CaCu2O8+δ

Description
Both the resistivity and thermopower data measured on polycrystalline Tl2Ba2Ca1xPrxCu2O8+δ suggest the localization of the carriers to be responsible for the suppression of superconductivity in this material. It is suggested that this localization arises from the hybridization of Pr 4f orbital with the O-2p state. (author)
