The R and D work for the sampling scintillating fiber calorimeter

Description

The main R and D work for BES-III sampling scintillating fiber calorimeter is reported. A set up for single scintillating fiber properties has been constructed. The methods of series properties measurement (light yield, attenuation length, time resolution, space resolution) and the measurement results are given. The properties of two different types of fiber are compared systematically. In addition, a module of sampling scintillating fiber calorimeter from KLOE (INFN, Italy) is tested by using cosmic ray and the primarily results are obtained
