Improved x-ray xerography technique
Description
In conventional X-ray xerography, a gap between a radiation conductive plate and a visible light shielding plate is partially ionized by X-rays transmitted therethrough, whereupon the resolving power of the radiation conductive plate is lowered by the ionized air, according to which electrostatic images are difficult to resolve. In the present invention a second shielding plate is provided above and spaced within 3 mm from the radiation conductive plate. The second shielding plate may be composed of a suitable material such as phenol resin, triacetate, polyester, or acryl resin. The second shielding plate reduces the possibility of ionization so that a high quality X-ray photographic picture may be obtained. (Yamaguchi, T.)
