Description

The dynamics of the RMn2O5 (R = Eu and Gd) crystals, characterized by the magnetic and ferroelectric long-range order with the close transition temperatures T ≅ 36 K and T ≅ 30 K for the crystals with the R = Eu and Gd is studied within the frequency range of 20-300 GHz and temperature interval of 5-50 K correspondingly. The mixed magnetic-lattice excitations were identified in the GdMn2O5, which were most intensive near the transition temperature T ≅ 30 K on the frequencies close to the frequencies of the antiferromagnetic resonance of the Mn-subsystem. The ferromagnetic resonance of the Gd-subsystem was observed in the external magnetic field in the GdMn2O5 along with the antiferromagnetic resonance of the Mn-subsystem. No similar dynamics was observed in the EuMn2O5
