Description
We developed a new type of track detector, screen-type X-ray film, for the observation of heavy cosmic-ray primaries. It brings us quite hopeful possibility to make light-weight emulsion chamber, without heavy calorimeter composed of succesive lead and emulsion plates. We report here characteristics of the screen-type X-ray film, and resolution of primary charge. (author)
