Description
The time dependent model PARATI, was developed to asses the dose for individuals of the public resulting from radioactive contamination deposit on surfaces in urban and semi-urban environments after an accidental radioactive material release. This model was designed to answer three fundamental questions: to estimate the cumulative radiation exposure as a time function after radioactive contamination for different human groups; to show the fractional dose contribution for each pathway; to point out feasible countermeasures and their relative effectiveness regarding reduction of doses. The model presented in this paper is applied to the assessment for the radionuclide caesium-137. (B.C.A.). 26 refs, 05 figs
