Description

The investigation results are presented of the synthesis of rhenium complexes with diethylsulfide (L')-(C2H5)2S and diethyl ethylenedisulfide (L'')-C2H4(SC2H5)2. Potassium hexachloro-rhenate has been initial compound. It is shown that at the mole ratio K2ReCl6/L from 1/1 to 1/5 the composition of obtained substances remains constant. Maximal product yield is obtained at the ratio potassium hexachlororhenate-ligand being 1/2. On the element analysis base the composition of synthesized compounds - Re2OL'4Cl6 (Product yield 71%), Re2OL21Cl6 (Product yield 73%) has been found. The bromide analogs of rhenium(4) complexes with the said ligands are obtained according to the methods developed for chloride complexes. The complexes obtained have the composition Re2OL'4Br6 (product yield 70%), Re2OL''2Br6 (product yield 74%). By the study of electric conductivity of the compounds obtained in an anhydrous solution the electrolyte type has been established. In infrared spectra of rhenium complexes synthesized intensive absorption bands have been observed in the region 670-710 cm-1 which can be referred to the Re-O-Re bond. The spectra of rhenium(4)bromide complexes in the short wave region are identical to chloride analogs. The study of magnetic properties of the compounds obtained has shown that all of them are paramagnetic. It has been found that no more than two donor atoms of aliphatic sulfide are coordinated with rhenium(4)
