National capability for measurements and calibration
Description
The National Measuring Standards and Metrology (NMS and M) Division of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research's National Physical Research Laboratory (NPRL) maintains the national physical standards of length, mass, pressure, temperature, time, electricity, light and radiation dosimetry. A service to industry is offered by the Division whereby instruments used for measuring the mentioned parameters can be accurately calibrated. Details are given on the types of calibration that can be carried out and the degree of accuracy obtainable
