Spin correlations in amorphous Y3Fe5O12
Description
Spin correlations in an amorphous oxide are investigated by neutron diffraction method. Magnetic distribution function depending both on iron ion spatial distribution and on mutual orientation of their spin magnetic moments is constructed from measurements at different temperatures. Amorphous oxide local magnetic structure resembles in general spin ordering in the crystal. A typical feature of amorphous oxide magnetic structure - magnetic moments of the closes iron ions - are sufficiently deflected from antiparallel orientation
