Preliminary study of the main-sequence luminosity function of the globular cluster M92

  • 1. David Dunlap Observatory, University of Toronto

Description

The Hale 5-m telescope has been used to study the luminosity function of M92 down to Vapprox. =23.25. The main-sequence luminosity function is found to rise very steeply from M/subV/=+4 to M/subV/=+6. Between M/subv/=+6 and M/subV/=+8 the luminosity function appears to remain essentially constant
