Complexation equilibria of succinylsulfathiazole with VOII, UO2II, CuII, NiII and MnII

Description
The proton-ligand stability constants (Log K1H, log K2H) of succinylsulfathiazole (SSTZ) and stepwise stability constants (log K1 log K2) of its complexes with VOll, UO2II, Cull, Nill and Mnll have been determined potentiometrically in N,N'-dimethylformamide (DMF)-water and dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO)-water systems [25 : 75 and 50 : 50 (% v/v)] at 25 ± 0.1 degC and 0.15 M (NaClO4) ionic strength. The values of log K1H and log K2H as well as log K1 and log K2 increase with the increasing DMF or DMSO concentrations. The stability order of the complexes have been round to be VOII > UO2II > CuII > NiII > MnII. (author)
