Description
We propose to study mass resolved fission fragment anisotropies and mass resolved neutron multiplicities for the 12C + 232Th reaction at 61 and 68 MeV, and 16O + 232Th reaction at 80 and 85 MeV laboratory energy. At the lower energies we expect the largest difference between angular anisotropy at symmetric and angular anisotropy at asymmetric division. At the two higher energies, the measurement of neutrons in coincidence with mass resolved fission fragments will enable to calculate for the first time mass resolved angular anisotropy with non model-dependent neutron correction taken into account. Moreover, the shape of the composite nucleus will follow K- equilibration. Thus the observation of an angular anisotropy of pre-scission neutrons would yield a direct confirmation of our model.
