In-pile structural elements
Description
Purpose: To provide in-pile structural elements which can suppress the shift and expansion of pellets thereby stacking pellets silently and tightly in the fuel cans. Constitution: The present invention is characterized in that, in compressing the uppermost surfaces of pellets accommodated in the fuel cans, two, large and small, springs are used as compressing members. In a case where such springs are used, even though the first spring is compressed excessively and loses its resilient function, the second spring acts for the first spring to execute its function.
