Description
The gas-cooled fast breeder reactor has got a core region containing fissionable material and an annular blanket region containing breeding material. For improving the economy of the coolant circuit by saving pump energy the coolant flow is divided and the flow resistance through the core region having got higher thermal power is increased. This higher resistance is produced by fuel assemblies with porous walls and ceramically clad pellets. (DG)

Der gasgekuehlte SB besitzt einen Kernbereich mit Spaltmaterial und einen ringfoermigen Mantelbereich mit Brutmaterial. Zur Verbesserung der Wirtschaftlichkeit des Kuehlmittelkreislaufes durch Einsparung von Pumpenenergie wird der Kuehlmittelstrom aufgeteilt und dem Kuehlmittelstrom durch den Kernbereich mit hoeherer Waermeleistung ein groesserer Widerstand entgegengesetzt. Diesen hoeheren Widerstand erzeugen BE mit poroesen Waenden und keramisch verkleideten Partikeln. (DG)Files
