Electric conductivity of uniaxially strained quasi-unidimensional Peierls dielectric TaS3
Description
The effect of uniaxial tension strain along conducting chains on the electric conductivity of orthorhombic TaS3 in the 65-315 K temperature range has been studied. A strong nonmonotonous defendence of the TaS3 conductivity on the unaxial sample deformation in a wide temperature range close and below the Peierls transition temperature is found. Possible mechanisms explaining the phenomena observed are discussed
