Maintenance problems of valves in chemical plants [Paper No. VA-5]
Description
Several types of valves are used in the Heavy Water Plant at Baroda. Common problems which affect the valves are leaks: (i) across seat, (ii) through glands, (iii) through bonnet and (iv) from end connections. Causes of leakage, methods to reduce the leakage and to extend their life and stelliting methods for reconditioning of valves are described. (M.G.B.)
