Wigner-distributions on a cylindrical phase space
Description
A coherent algebra is constructed for a cylindrical phase space. The pure elements in this algebra are the Wigner distributions on a cylinder. Using the representation of quantum mechanics in coherent algebras we show that the rigid rotor and the harmonic oscillator in action and angle variables can be quantized canonically. (author)
