Neutron particle injection device

Description

In a neutron particle injection device, neutralized cells are provided as an assembly of unit neutralized cells having the cross sectional area corresponding to the cross sectional area of unit electrode of an ion source. Further, the neutralized cells are caused to correspond to the position of the unit electrode of the ion source, to be provided as plasma neutralized cells, and a high frequency plasma excitation means is used. A plurality of aluminum alloy plates are used between the outer and the inner walls of the unit neutralized cells, a magnetic field generation means is disposed between plate members for confining plasmas, and boron water as coolants is caused to flow. Then, the cross sectional area is reduced, a gas efficiency is improved, filaments for arc discharge is no more necessary, and a maintenance period can be extended. Further, generation of induced radioactivity caused by generated neutrons is reduced, neutrons are absorbed by flowing the boron water to a coolant flow channel, then the radioactive boron water is discharged upon shut down of operation, thereby enabling to reduce remaining induced radioactivity level.
