Description
The characterizations of Neohouzeaua dullooa fibers before and after alkali treatments have been studied. After alkali treatment, the strength of N. dullooa fiber as well as the adhesion with PE resin are increased significantly. The effect of content of N. dullooa fiber on polyethylene (PE) composite materials has been investigated. The obtained results shown that with 60 wt% of N. dullooa the durability of materials was the highest. The MA-g-PE compatibility is also affects the strength materials properties. The obtained results also shown that MA-g-PE compatibility improved adhesion of the resin as well as increased the material's durability by approximately 25 % compared to non-adherent materials. Successfully fabricated the prepregs from PE and unidirectional fiber for manufacturing composite materials has been studied. (author)
