Description

The radionuclide concentrations were determined in pine needles at Kyushu Island, Japan, after the 26th Chinese nuclear explosion test. Comparison between new and old pine needles was done and the half-lives of radionuclides in pine needles were calculated. It was assumed that stratospheric fallout has a longer half-life in pine needles than that from the troposphere. (author)
