Generator coordinate spectrum of 56Ni

Description
An attempt has been made to explain the low-lying states of the nucleus 55Ni, especially J=0+ states, in the frame-work of generator co-ordinate formalism using the projected states from the constrained Hartree-Fock intrinsic states. The calculations are made in the space of full f-p shell using the modified version of two-body matrix elements obtained by Kuo and Brown. Some results about the electro-magnetic properties of these states have also been reported. In the light of these results, the adequacy of the interaction used is discussed. (author)
