Systems engineering study for the closure of single-shell tanks

This systems engineering study has developed several conclusions that will aid the US Department of Energy in managing the single-shell tank waste. These conclusions include recommended alternatives for closure, characterization requirements, closure schedule, development requirements, facility requirements, and integration of double-shell tank and single-shell tank waste processing. The preferred alternative for single-shell tank closure will be determined in the Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement based on further evaluation of recommended alternatives.
